North West Leicestershire Mobile Play Scheme Project
The Play Project aspires to enable children and young people of North West Leicestershire to develop through play and play opportunities.
The Project's aims are:
- to empower and enable children and young people to make decisions and choices
- to increase access to local play opportunities
- to increase the capacity of communities to provide play opportunities which meet the needs of children and young people
- to raise awareness of the importance of play
The Team recognises the importance of listening to children and young people, to value and respect what children know about their communities and their needs, to offer choice and to support new and innovative ideas. It is through this approach that the Team feels that children and young people have greater ownership of, and respect for, their play opportunities.
