Health & Social Care Project
This Project, although located at Charnwood Council for Voluntary Service, covers the Primary Care Trust areas of Charnwood and North West Leicestershire. It aims to widen and improve the involvement of Voluntary and Community organisations and groups in health care planning.
The important contribution these organisations can make to improving health, reducing health inequalities and helping to build quality services, is well recognised and the role of this project is to assist the Voluntary and Community Sector in sharing this knowledge with both health and social care providers.
Representatives of groups will be encouraged, if appropriate, to be more involved with future health care planning, through methods such as consultations and health forums.
