Training

The Volunteer Centre gives the opportunity for volunteers to attend training courses provided by NWLCVS to assist in the process of their personal development within the organisation.

Training for all our volunteers is provided free of charge, as well as expenses such as travel, childcare and costs in respect of someone to sit with a person being cared for by the trainee.

The Volunteer Centre also provides informal training and support to specific groups of volunteers.

Induction training for other voluntary groups is not provided, unless specifically requested to do so, as procedures vary from organisation to organisation. However, induction training is provided for Volunteer Centre volunteers.
