Furniture Recycling

The REACT Project operates a Recycled Furniture Warehouse where household items are collected from people wishing to donate second-hand recyclable furniture and electrical goods. Every item is checked and repaired, if necessary, so that people in receipt of Income Support, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit or Working Tax Credits, may purchase the items for a nominal handling charge.
The warehouse is open to members of the public in receipt of benefits from Monday to Friday 10.30am to 12.30pm.
It is also open to members of the general public on Fridays only, 10.30am - 12.30pm. Contact Phil on 01530 512454 or email pharris@nwlcvs.org.uk
Wood Work Shop and Products
REACT WOODWORK SHOP
In 2006 REACT was successful in obtaining a National Lottery CRED Programme award to develop a woodwork shop. Although the funding came to an end in December 2007, REACT has been able to continue the woodwork training through innovative products created from recycled wood. Wooden furniture items are also refurbished, thus saving considerable waste tonnage going to landfill.
The Woodwork Shop products are available to purchase.
