Volunteering
The Volunteer Centre North West Leicestershire is the professional agency for those wishing to give some of their free time to help voluntary and community groups. It was established in 1974 to recruit and place volunteers with volunteer involving organisations. Leicestershire County Council Social Services Department funds its work.
The Volunteer Centre North West Leicestershire is a member of Volunteer England and holds its Quality Mark and Outstanding Achievement Award.

We believe that everyone has the right to volunteer and, with the help and guidance of Volunteer Centre staff, prospective volunteers receive an informal interview to determine their preferences and are then placed with the most appropriate volunteering activity. The Volunteer Centre North West Leicestershire remains in touch with the volunteers until they are happy with their volunteering task.
